How do I order?
Once you are ready, select the desired product type and size and checkout.
Next, send as many reference photos as needed to info@petprintsbycblice.com. Be sure to include the name of the pet(s) I’m painting and anything special you would like me to know about them! I'll send you a reminder email so that you don't forget.
If any of the following applies, please let me know:
it's a memorial portrait
it's a gift with a targeted delivery date
if providing multiple photos/angles, any pose preferences
if desired, photo of custom bandana/bowtie
How do I choose good reference photos?
For best results:
- Choose high quality image(s) of your pet. A photo of your pet on a cloudy day outside might be a good place to start.
- Photos taken at eye level with your pet typically work best.
- For Realistic portraits, ensure your pet is forward-facing, with chest visible
- For Gouache and Watercolor portraits, I paint the parts of your pet shown in your photo, so you'll want a photo where your pet is sitting, laying or standing on a flat surface, with their body fully exposed in the frame.
- Include photos with true fur and eye color
Here's a good example:
Avoid photos where your pet is:
- Wet (unless that's the goal for the portrait)
- Overexposed to harsh direct sunlight
- Covered in shadows
- Unfocused, pixelated, or blurry
Please feel free to send as many photos as necessary to satisfy these elements, the more the merrier!
How do I know you're ready to start my portrait?
I will send an email that looks just like this to confirm I am ready to begin your custom artwork. This notification starts the countdown for the anticipated wait time specified in my announcement banner at the time you order.
Can I request changes to the artwork?
Certainly! Once I am finished with the artwork, I will send a digital draft proof for your approval.
If you love it as is, it's considered final and I move forward printing the final piece!
If you have any teaks or changes, I'll make those and send back for your final approval. After it is printed and delivered I can't make any revisions. The proof approval process is an efficient way I ensure to deliver the best result possible.
How is the portrait delivered?
- Digital copies of the authentic artwork are sent via email
- Physical prints/canvases are shipped directly to your specified address (within the USA). You'll receive tracking information via email so you can keep a close eye on when to expect delivery!
